Role

Tom supports our professional trustees on day-to-day activities and provides scheme secretarial services to a number of clients.

Background & experience

Tom began his pensions career in 2018 with XPS Pensions Group where he gained valuable experience working on defined benefit and hybrid scheme arrangements, calculating pension benefits for leavers, retirements, transfers and death benefits.

Tom joined PSGS in 2020 and completed the scheme secretary training plan. In 2023, he became an assistant scheme manager.

Tom works closely with scheme advisers and helps the team with preparing meeting agendas, taking and drafting minutes, responding to member queries and organising meetings. He has a rounded view of the governance required to help trustee boards operate digitally and keep them up to date on pension regulations.

Tom supports the PSGS technology champions by driving new technologies and training the team on Microsoft Teams. He also sits on the ESG service line.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys programming, 3D modelling and animation.

Qualifications: BA Honours Philosophy and Politics and currently studying for the PMI Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision
