Sophia is an experienced investment consultant and is now a professional pension trustee.
Sophia started her pensions career in 2006 training to be an actuary with Punter Southall. In 2008, she moved to P-Solve (now Schroders Solutions) to start working in investment, focusing on derivatives – liability driven investment (LDI) and structured equity.
Since then, Sophia has worked for Cardano and Barnett Waddingham in roles as a senior investment consultant within fiduciary and advisory governance models, LDI portfolio manager and LDI manager researcher.
Before joining PSGS in 2022, Sophia spent two years at Insight Asset Management as a client director, where she was responsible for relationships with large institutional investors.
Within her investment roles, Sophia had strong focus on responsible investment and ESG analysis, using this to assist trustees in determining their responsible investment beliefs and developing ways to reflect those beliefs in investment portfolios.
Sophia overcame her fear of open water swimming and achieved 5th place in her age group at the Windsor triathlon in 2022.
