Role

Simon is a professional pension trustee to a portfolio of DB and DC pension schemes including a DC master trust.

Background & experience

Simon started his pensions career in the investment team of a corporate trustee. He then worked for a number of trustee firms and organisations including The Pensions Ombudsman, before joining us to concentrate on professional trusteeship.

Simon has acted as trustee, secretary to the trustees and consultant for a wide variety of defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) schemes. He has also held senior roles with Open Trustees and Pitmans Trustees, where he was instrumental in helping PTL attain AAF/01 accreditation.

Simon is a DC specialist and trustee director for a DC master trust and chairs two DC schemes. He also chairs two Governance Advisory Arrangements (GAAs) for contract based DC schemes.

Simon was Chairman of Reading Joggers for ten years and has completed many races including marathons, half-marathons and parkruns.

Qualifications: Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI), Award in Pension Trusteeship, BA Hons Business Studies, accredited professional trustee
